Comments
Press C or choose the comment tool, then click a screen or element to pin a comment there. You can also choose Comment on this element from Inspect or the Layers menu.
- Markup. Draw rectangles, ellipses, arrows, lines and text on the design (R, O, A, L, T; S to select).
- Attachments. Add up to 6 per comment: a link, a file or a project reference. Editors can also add an attachment to the Board as a reference.
- Mentions. Type
@to mention a teammate in the Comments panel. - Ask the agent. Ask the agent to fix this opens the design agent with the comment as context. Only a person can resolve a thread.
- Press ⌘ Enter to send.
Viewers can read comments; reviewers and editors can write them.
Comments on a release
In Review mode, Pin a comment pins your comment to a screen, state and size of the release you are reviewing, not to the draft. When a newer version is sent, earlier pins stay where they were made, drawn dashed and labelled with their version (for example on v0.1.0), so feedback never lands on a layout it wasn't written about. Guests on a release's review link can pin comments too. See approval policies and team review.
Notifications
The bell in the top bar collects your notifications. Choose which reach you by email in Settings › Notifications:
| Category | When | Email by default |
|---|---|---|
| Mentions | Someone @mentions you. | Right away |
| Reviews and approvals | You're asked to review, a release you sent is approved or has changes requested, or someone decides on one of its screens. | Right away |
| Comments and replies | Someone comments on your item or replies in your thread. | Daily digest |
| Your runs | A run you started completes or fails. | Off |
| Members | Someone accepts an invitation you sent. | Daily digest |
| Billing alerts | Usage or payment needs attention (billing roles only). | Right away |
In-app notifications are on for every category. Emails contain titles and links, never the text of comments, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe. M1rror skips an email if you were recently active in that project.
