Guest review links

Let clients and stakeholders review, comment on and approve a release through a private, expiring link, with no account, an optional passcode and full control over revoking.

On this page

A guest review link lets people outside your workspace review your work without creating an account. You decide what they see, what they can do and for how long.

  1. Open Share for review

Select Share in the top bar, then Review links › Create or manage links. The dialog is titled Share for review.

  2. Choose what to share

Under What to share, pick a release (review and approval) or the board (comments only). Add an optional Label so you can tell links apart later.

  3. Set the limits

    • Expires after: 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days.
    • Passcode (optional): at least 6 characters. Guests enter it before they see anything.
    • Guests can: Comment, Approve or request changes (releases only) and Appear in presence as Guest (name).
    • Email the link to (optional): send it directly from M1rror.
  4. Create and share the link

Select Create link. The link is shown once: copy it now. M1rror stores only a hash of it, so it can't show it again; create a new link if you lose it.

  5. Guests verify and review

Guests open the link, enter the passcode if there is one, then confirm their name and email with a 6-digit code. They can browse the overview, screens, components and design values, and comment or decide if the link allows it. On a release, guests can pin comments to the exact screen, state and size they are looking at; on a later version their pins stay where they were made, labelled with the version.

Guest approvals

By default a guest's approval is advisory: it is recorded and shown to the team, but only member approvals publish a release. An administrator can switch the review policy to Required from named stakeholders and list the stakeholder emails whose approval is required in addition to member approvals.

Privacy and security

  • Links can be revoked at any time, and revoking ends guest sessions immediately. Unknown, revoked and expired links all show not found.
  • A guest session lasts at most 7 days and never past the link's expiry.
  • Guests see authors' names, never their email addresses, and can't @mention people.
  • Guest pages are hidden from search engines and send no referrer.
  • References appear to guests only when their recorded rights allow sharing.
  • Members see guest comments as Guest (Name). The guest page refreshes every 30 seconds rather than live.
