Getting started with M1rror
What M1rror does, how a workspace and its projects fit together, and the fastest path from sign-up to your first reviewed design.
On this page
M1rror is a collaborative design platform for product teams. It turns design references, your existing codebase and your team's feedback into an approved, versioned design system, and then into a scoped pull request that your team reviews and merges.
You work in a workspace (your team) that holds projects (one product, app or brand each). Every project has the same six modes, in the order work usually flows:
| Mode | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Board mode | Collect references, screenshots and notes, and capture live websites you own or may analyse. |
| System mode | Define colours, type, spacing and the components that use them, as one versioned design system. |
| Screens mode | Design each screen from your components, in every state, at phone, tablet and desktop sizes. |
| Code mode | Connect a repository and see its components and design issues in plain words. |
| Review mode | Send a frozen version for review, collect pinned comments and record approvals. |
| Ship mode | Turn an approved release into a build plan and a draft pull request. |
