Members and roles
Invite people to your workspace, choose a role for each and add optional Billing or Repository roles. Reviewers and viewers join free; editors use seats.
On this page
Open Settings › Members to see everyone in the workspace, invite people and change roles.
Roles
Each member has one main role, and may have extra roles on top.
| Role | What they can do | Seat |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Everything: designs, reviews, members, billing, repositories and deleting the workspace. | Editor seat |
| Administrator | Members, projects, integrations and policy (including the audit log and the approval policy). | Only if also an editor |
| Editor | Draft references and designs, comment, send for review and use the design agent. | Editor seat |
| Reviewer | Read, comment and approve designs. | Free |
| Viewer | Read what they're allowed to see. | Free |
Extra roles, under Also allow (optional):
- Billing: plans, payment and invoices.
- Repository: authorise build plans and open pull requests.
- Administrators can also be given Editor or Reviewer (Can also edit designs, Can also approve releases), and editors can be given Reviewer.
The person who creates a workspace is its owner, with every role. A workspace always keeps at least one owner, and you can only grant roles whose permissions you hold yourself.
Invite someone
Open Members
Go to Settings › Members and select Invite.
Enter their email and role
In Invite someone, enter their email address and choose a role (Reviewer by default), then select Create invitation.
Send the link
M1rror shows the invitation link once: copy it and send it. They must sign in with the invited email address to accept, and the link expires after 7 days. Pending invitations are listed on the Members page, where you can create a new link (the old one stops working) or revoke it.
Seats
Anyone with the Editor role uses an editor seat (owners include it); reviewers and viewers never do. A pending invitation for an editor holds a seat until it is accepted, revoked or expires. Each plan includes some editor seats, and paid plans can add more. When all seats are taken, M1rror suggests adding a seat or inviting the person as a reviewer. See plans and seats.
Change roles or remove someone
From a member's menu choose Change roles or Remove from workspace. Removing someone takes effect immediately and revokes their agent tokens for this workspace; their work stays in the workspace.
Agents and roles
A coding agent acts on behalf of the person who connected it, with at most that person's current permissions, narrowed further by the agent's grant. Agents can never approve, authorise builds, change billing, members, integrations or policy, or delete a workspace.
